Goodwill, not Landfill

For over a decade during the resident hall move out, we partner with the Office of Residential Life and Goodwill of Acadiana to divert electronics, home goods, clothes, and school supplies in good condition from the landfill and send these items back into the community with the annual Goodwill Not Landfill program. Collection bins are located in each resident hall lobby and at select locations at apartment building lobbies. During moveouts students typically donate average a total of 4,000 lbs of materials to Goodwill, which supports local jobs and ultimately extends the life cycle of resources here in our community. Goodwill Not Landfill was started at UL Lafayette in 2013.
