Integrated Pest Management Plan
University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s Integrated Pest Management Plan
This Integrated Pest Management(IPM) Plan is in place to prevent pest problems, reduce pesticide use, protect pollinators, protect waterways, and expand the use of non-chemical pest management methods.
As defined in 7U.S.C.§136r, a IPM is “a sustainable approach to managing pests by combining biological, cultural, physical, and chemical tools in a way that minimizes economic, health, and environmental risks.” - USDA
