Green Office Program
Introduction
The mission of the Green Office Program is to help the University of Louisiana Lafayette’s offices and academic departments reduce their impact on the environment. By introducing sustainability measures to our workplaces, we create healthier working environments, while mitigating the effects of climate change.
Process
Staff and faculty can request sustainability workshops from the Office of Sustainability staff via the Sustainability Engagement Request Form on the Office of Sustainability website.
The workshops are 1-hour long seminars detailing sustainable operations and behaviors that University offices and academic departments can adopt to become more sustainable areas.
Following the workshop, a representative will receive a checklist to gauge the current sustainability actions of the office or department and provide suggestions for sustainable improvements that can be adopted. Offices and departments who complete the workshop will receive recognition from the Office of Sustainability, in the form of social media acknowledgement and a Green Office certificate.
