New Name Alert: We have expanded to the "Office of Sustainability and Community Engagement"

Our office has expanded from the Office of Sustainability to the Office of Sustainability and Community Engagement!

Our mission is to enhance the sustainability and resilience of our campus while improving the quality of life for our entire community. We commit to fully embracing our environmental, social, and economic responsibilities. We believe in building strong, mutually beneficial partnerships within the community and preparing each student to thrive as a responsible, engaged citizen.

We have numerous events coming up this semester that will showcase our mission and we cannot wait to connect our campus and community even more in the coming years! Check out the new UL Lafayette Community Collaboratory and its initiatives like the Town & Gown Summit, Town & Gown Workshops, Community Engagement Fair, Community Collaboratory Fellows, and more! Our existing community engagement events like the Fête de la Terre Expo and the UL Lafayette Krewe de Coulee will also be returning again this semester.

For the past decade, the Office of Sustainability has served our campus and community, fostering partnerships across campus, the region, and the state. This natural evolution of promoting service and collaboration has brought us to this exciting moment — and we couldn’t be more thrilled for what’s ahead!
