Krewe de Coulee - Post Mardi Gras Clean Up

The Office of Sustainability and Keep UL Lafayette Beautiful in partnership with Parish Proud, would like to invite you to the Krewe De Coulee Post-Mardi Gras Clean-Up, from 2-4pm Thursday, February 15, 2024!

Discarded Mardi Gras beads and other waste from parades can negatively impact our campus and community by polluting our coulees, which drain stormwater runoff into our waterways. Help protect our waterways and preserve the beauty of our campus and community by joining our clean-up effort.

Volunteers will meet at Blackham Coliseum, located at the corner of Johnston Street and Cajundome Boulevard to collect supplies. Litter pickers, gloves, vests, trash bags, and 50 t-shirts will be provided. We do ask the all volunteers wear closed-toe shoes.

Register today: https://forms.office.com/r/ZCPgaJNaRi

Coulee de Coulee shirts will be passed out to the first 50 students who sign up!

Individual volunteers and teams from the public community, UL Lafayette offices, alumni chapters, organizations, and academic departments are all welcome! Krewe Captains should be willing to complete litter surveys and serve as site leader. All volunteers must fill out the form and designate their Krewe name.

Thank you for your service to our University and community!
