Geaux Local: Sustainable Food Day

We are celebrating sustainability and our environment for a full week with our 2015 Fête de la Terre. On April 22, International Earth Day, we are focusing on a decidedly local aspect of sustainability - our food systems. This is Cajun Country, after all!

Homegrown: Local, Sustainable Food Systems
Students for Sustainability, the UL Office of Sustainability, Lafayette Farmers and Artisans Market at the Horse Farm, and The Daily Advertiser are teaming up to host the second in a series of six monthly panel discussions focusing on the environmental, social, and economical benefits of sourcing local food.

Farmers Market at the Alumni House
Favorite local farmers from the Lafayette Farmers and Artisans Market at the Horse Farm gather for a Mid- week market on the beautiful grounds of our Alumni Center.
