Zero Waste Ragin' Cajun Homecoming
It's Homecoming Week!! And we are on a roll!
This gameday we're not just fighting on to extend our winning streak, we're also fighting waste! The University was blown away by the recent success of our Zero Waste efforts. In case you haven't heard, our recycling diversion rate for the Georgia Southern game was 65%!
We want to build on that success, so we are asking fans to be even more diligent this Saturday. Check out the gameday schedule below! We'll see you out there!
Saturday, Nov. 1
8 a.m. Ragin' Road Race: 5K and 1-mile Fun Run: Starts at the Alumni Center. Be on the lookout for recycling bins at the Alumni Center. We will also have recycling bins at each water station for our volunteers.
9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Open House at the Alumni Center: Stop by before the parade and be sure to use those recycle bins!
10 a.m. Homecoming Parade: Begins at Blackham Coliseum and ends on St. Mary Blvd. by the Alumni Center.
10 a.m. Cajun Field ticket office opens: Purchase tickets at Cajun Field's LHC Gate C and at the main ticket booth at State Farm Gate A.
10 a.m. Official Ragin' Cajuns apparel outlets open: Buy your gear at the apparel outlets by Gate A and inside 'Tigue' Moore Field.
1:30 p.m. Krossfyre Performance: Begins at the Oak Tree Stage by Gate A. Presented by Rouses. Recycle! Recycle! Recycle!
1:35 p.m. Cajun Walk down Reinhardt Drive: Bring your ragin' spirit and wish the team good luck before the big game.
2:30 p.m. Cajun Field gates open: Stop by the Ragin' Cajuns apparel outlet inside Cajun Field before heading to your seat.
3 p.m. Band begins Ragin' March along Stadium Way: Join the Pride of Acadiana Marching Band in the fight song and the classic "R-E-S-P-E-C-T." And RESPECT your environment..R-E-C-Y-C-L-E!
3 p.m. The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football team begins on-field warm-ups. GEAUX CAJUNS!
3:45 p.m. Pride of Acadiana Marching Band's pregame performance.
4 p.m. Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns vs. South Alabama Jaguars at Cajun Field. Tickets required. GET TICKETS and GEAUX FOR ZERO WASTE!
